Stirred-up contemplation

Jasmin from Matur Udyanam wrote to me few days ago, answering my mail after the cyclone. I was happy to hear that they were ok!

Today I received a better feed back:

“As we managed to write earlier to only a couple of addresses (laptop battery being near the end), we are okay, thank God… surrounded by battered, broken and uprooted trees all around… received a phone call on the following morning to get out of the house immediately as an earthquake was about to strike Pondy… grabbed puppies, dogs and birds and rushed out, trying to gather a few useful thoughts… until it was confirmed that the warning had been just a rumour sending the region into renewed panic. Now as the roads are getting cleared and generators provide water when the tanks are empty, we continue to watch Nature around us, the way she reacts and recovers, and find ourselves in continuous ‘stirred-up contemplation’ (can’t find a better word)… “
